Several threads have discussed the Civil Air Patrol use of Search And Rescue competitions.  They can build spirit, and skill, but.......

Those of you who know me know that I am going to throw a curve here.

How about competing in external competitions.  This year West Virginia University hosted a Competition.  Did CAP send a team?

Should we send teams in the future?

I don't consider that a curve, I consider that a necessity.

The best way to prepare for outside competitions is to compete internally, first.  Only way to find out is to do it.  I'm all for it.  If I lived up there still, I would have done it in a heartbeat.  Too bad I moved south last year.
