 :-[ OK >:(

i need 100% sure confirmation that the silver nameplate is required for the New-Style service coat, my first sergeant wont leave me alone about it, and in 39-1 it shows a cadet wearing the blue nameplate on the same style service dress.

Thank you,

C/MSgt Tedder
Bravo Flight Commander

Cadets wear the same blue three line nametag that is worn on everything else for blues.

According to the info available here, the wear of the silver nametag is reserved for senior members. Cadets don't wear them.

Try not to gloat about this. You still have to work with him on a weekly basis.

Tell him, in private, that you disagree with him, and then show him one of your justification items. Let him come to the conclusion.

I'd start with the 39-1 page. That should be all he needs to see. If he still doesn't believe you I think you should go to the cadet commander.

When in doubt....

Refer to the regs.   It's hard to argue the written word.

Quite honestly if you were in my unit we would be having words about you contacting a national level officer.  Let alone for something so trivial
