BDU for SMWOG

I would really love some help on where to sew the "CAP" cloth insignia on my collar on my BDU.  I am a SMWOG, I realize in 6 months I will need to pull it off and replace it, but I am trying to get it right for now.  Are they 1" from the bottom?  Mounted perpendicular to the bottom of collar or parallel to side?  A picture would really help!

The CAP cutouts are placed 1 inch from the front edge of the collar with the short side parallel with the front edge. Measure the 1 inch from the collar edge to the white on the insignia, not  the blue border. There should be 1/8" of blue around the insignia measured from the widest point.

The diagram is correct except that all insignia is ultramarine.

In the end, the centering of the collar insignia looks similar to this in real life.  The drawn images can be a little deceptive.
