Stepping Back A Little ... As You Can Expect

In light of my upcoming role change, I've elected to step back from my assistance I've rendered CAPTalk over the last year and a half or so.

After the 2018 National Conference where I heard CAPTalk lumped into the same category as some other websites, I told Mike (Pylon) that I'd help out with our favorite wretched hive of scum and villainy to try to rehabilitate the perception of CAPTalk as a place to learn things and ask questions. As a resource, not a place full of malcontents and rabble, like a bad dive bar where they don't let droids in, either.

So I'll be taking on the title of Administrator Emeritus, and stepping back to do what I was doing beforehand: helping Mike a little with some of the behind-the-scenes technical administration of the site. I'll probably be posting less (hint: I will be posting less) more due to available time, but also because I don't want anybody in my wing trying to divine policy decisions and the commander's intent from CAPTalk. No matter what, that's just bad business.

Please don't beat up on the mod team, be polite to each other, pick up after yourselves, make your beds, don't chew with your mouth open, and for heaven's sake don't eat all the pretzels. Leave a few for me.

And if do just ONE thing when you post here: Before you put fingers to keyboard on something you're not sure about, give your fellow members the benefit of the doubt. If you need to understand what the term "benefit of the doubt" means in this context, click the link.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Don't stop posting completely.  I always enjoy your posts and your common sense approach to issues.  NH is fortunate to have you.

Sure hope you will still be in the lurking wings.  You're one of the level-headed, and it's been much appreciated by me, certainly as well by others.
