You should check out YouTube.  There are videos of people making their own custom dress/body forms with a process that involves wrapping yourself with plastic wrap and then layers of duck tape.  Sounds like it should be less than $50.

Uniforms & Awards / Using a mannequin to help with...
Last post by Jaybird180 - March 17, 2024, 09:15:34 PM
I often find after I place an item on my uniform that it's not where I need it, but only after I put it on my body. And it's tough (nearly impossible) to do in the mirror.

I'm thinking a dress form would be the way to go. Or perhaps there's something more appropriate?

I know there's a tailor's dress form that is adjustable so it would better match my measurements, but I can't justify the expenditure for an item I'd only use a few times a year. Something in the price range of $50-$100 sounds more appropriate.

from an analytics standpoint, the GA-8s fly more maintenance missions (A9) than others.

That right there should tell us all we need to know.

Well, seeing as how I basically only go on eservices once a year to renew my patron membership, this was a welcome tip.  Thanks.

Very surprised to see that for the first time since 2000, my wing has more cadets than seniors.  I guess I wouldn't call that a bad thing, but given the virtual collapse of the emergency services mission which has always been dependent on seniors a pivot towards cadets was probably necessary.   That particular membership trend doesn't appear to be the case nationally though.

You can view the current numbers in eServices by using the 'Statistics' module. Select NATIONAL for the unit.

Are there any missions for them? Not sarcasm, genuinely don't know.

You mean qualifying 3 scanners on one sortie isn't a mission?? *sarcasm*

Logistically they are a nightmare and with little gain to the organization. The 206 comes close in capability while maintaining similarities to the other types enough to not worry about how proficient one is in the GA8.

Neither do I. Since ARCHER has fallen under its own weight, unless their is some sort of airborne capability that requires more space than that provided with the remainder of the fleet, I can't imagine what they would be needed for except for niche edge-cases.
