i recently had to send the yaesu amateur handheld back to the shop due to lack of modulation. a new microphone resolved the problem.
i more recently had to sent the yaesu aviation handheld back to the shop due to lack of modulation. a new microphone resolved the problem.
i was wondering if anyone else had had a recent problem regarding the yaesu handheld microphones? maybe they got a bad batch?
thanks,
bill
Must be a bad batch, I have used a Yaesu FT-7900R for about 3 years now with a DTMF MH-48A6J mic and have received no complaints about it.
I'd suggest contacting Yaesu via here: http://www.yaesu.com/?cmd=ContactUs&DivisionID=65 (http://www.yaesu.com/?cmd=ContactUs&DivisionID=65) and provide them information such as the mic s/n or anything else that can help them trace when it was made. They may very well have a bad batch and may not even know.
