I think being a "has been" is the most rewarding career in CAP... I've done it enough times to know...

Former Sq. Cc
Former Gp Cc

How do I either Clone more members to do all the work that CAP requires of us? or... Get CAP to make the job of CAP easier for our members?

Get with your group/wing CC and find out what is absolutly necessary and what is good to have.  Prioitize from there.  A lot will depend on your unit....do you have an aircraft, vehicle, etc.

Once you know what you have to do....get an idea of what you want to do.....then you start your targeted recruiting.  It is easer IMHO to ask people to do specific jobs in stead of just asking for general help.

"I need a logicstics officer" instead of "I need some more staff officers".

Do an SUI self-assessment within the first 90 days (sooner if possible) - that will tell you in one place where the holes in the program are and what is check-box required.

Make sure you get a list from group/wing or the last CC as to all the annual reports and when they are due.

Get SIMs running as soon as you can.

Commander, Abilene Composite Squadron until the end of Feb, and then as long as it takes for me to trick, err convince, someone else to take the punishment, I mean torture, I mean wonderful opportunity.

I don't know, but when you figure it out, let the rest of us know. Also, if you ever want to travel into West Texas, I know of a squadron who could use a commander, or rather a commander who could use a replacement.
If you are confident in you abilities and experience, whether someone else is impressed is irrelevant. - Eclipse
