Has anyone ordered BDU's from Vanguard lately?

Based on this sizing chart: http://www.vanguardmil.com/?main_page=page&id=30

Unless I'm reading it REALLY wrong, I should be buying a SMALL sized BDU blouse and medium pants.  This just seems a bit odd to me.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get BDU's besides Vanguard?

Look up BDUs on evilbay. They are out there.

Wouldn't consider buying field uniforms from VG.

The quality of some of the uniform products from Vanguard leave a lot to be desired.  I'd recommend another vendor.

I'd stay away from Tru Spec. The material isn't the same, and the shading is different...lighter.

Just checked out the optional resources mentioned above and the prices are lower than the 'v' store. Some item's cheaper by only a few bucks others by half. Thanks for the info.

I bought new (with tags still on them) BDUs off eBay last year. Something like $10 for bottoms and $12 for tops. Cheap, anyway. And they're the real deal mil spec stuff from 10+ years ago when AF used to wear them.

If you're patient and can wait for the right deal, I'd recommend eBay over Vanguard or any of the other sites.

And you can get the aviator shirts, if that's what you need/want, from almost any pilot shop, online or brick-and-mortar.

I got my grey trousers from a place in England that sells to LEO's.  The cut, colour and quality are worlds better than most other grey trousers I've seen.

But I'd echo the warning against Tru-Spec.  They just look...well, not right.

Got a link and how close do they match the rank slides?

Interesting and not something I thought of...the rank slides are considered Medium Grey?

I got mine from a chain department store in the US...never thought of writing back to the Homeland!

It was off EvilBay.  I did a lot of digging using various permutations of "grey trousers."

I just checked my buying history to see if I could find some sort of link for you...but I couldn't.  Sorry. :(

And they are very close to the grey in the shoulder marks/nameplate.
