QuoteCyber Patriot (team must participate in the Cyber Patriot Finals to qualify)

I suppose it qualifies as it is open nationally. That said, this is one way to motivate cadets to do Cyber Patriot and probably one of the most affordable ways to earn an NCSA Ribbon.

Interesting that Cyber Patriot qualifies for all the participants, but NCC doesn't at all, just the winners get the ribbon/device.

If you make it to national on ncc you already have a region ribbon.

Interesting - the verbiage for seniors is somewhat ambiguous, and could be interpreted as "6 / 3 per team regardless of performance".

b. National Cadet Competition Ribbon.  Awarded for participation in the National Cadet
Drill Competition.  Senior Members who earned this ribbon as a cadet may continue to wear the
ribbon.
(1) The basic ribbon will be worn by cadets who are the winner of the wing competition

the winners of the region competition, and a silver star will be worn by the sweepstakes winners of
the national competition.  Repetitive awards may be recognized by wearing additional stars in the
appropriate competition level.  Senior members who earned this ribbon as a cadet may continue to
wear the ribbon.

Not how I read it.  On the list from the linked source it says:

Cyber Patriot (team must participate in the Cyber Patriot Finals to qualify)

That's exactly how I read it. That everyone that participates at the final level of Cyber Patriot can be awarded the ribbon.

... forgot about the region ribbon for NCC though.. not quite the same to me. I guess. Whatever.

CC: "Cadet, where did you get an NCSA ribbon?"

Cdt: "From Cyberpatriot last month, Sir!"

CC: "Those ribbons are only awarded to people at the final level of competition, and you quit and stormed out when you couldn't figure out how to turn on your machine...:

Cdt: "Yes Sir!  That was certainly the 'final level" I will ever compete at!"

CC: ((*sigh*))
