I can not download the attachment in this post (http://captalk.net/index.php?topic=14345.msg259244#msg259244). When I click the link I get prompted to download "index.php".
Right click on the link, and 'Open with' Adobe Reader. Then save as needed.

If you could tell me what to look for I'd appreciate it. Up to date FireFox running on Win7-64 pro. I'll try disabling extensions and see if that fixes it.

Well, it not machine specific, because I had the same problem (XP and Firefox 8.0). It could be a browser issue, which I will now verify.
IE works OK.
Chrome works, although apparently there's no Reader plug-in, so it will only save.
Safari will open or save.
