Come on, unofficical thread police (you know who you are...):  you're slacking!  I was expecting your ever-so-helpful input at least 10-15 posts ago...

Tick tock, tick tock...     Right?
Well, as the quasi-official time keeper, and original purveyor of the clock, my assessment is:
A. It's in the right forum.
B. It has some relevance to CAP, however specious.
C. It meets most of the MCoC rules, albeit loosely in an instance or two.
D. It's fun.

Keep it clean, and chive on.

Mods, YMMV, as always. BTW, the OP came from a mod, FWIW.

Oh, okay, cool.  So how exactly does one receive an appointment as "quasi-official time keeper"?  Or is it more of a self-righteous, I mean, self-appointed thing?

He has our endorsement because he refuses to become a moderator.

Good God, who in their right mind would want to become a moderator?

Hey, this thread may have been started as a joke but it is not far from reality.

Read one of the requirements for a Finance Administration Section Chief, FASC SQTR:

Complete Task F-4102 - Demonstrate the ability to determine the need to setup
and operate an incident commissary

Here is part of the training for the FASC SQTR:

Training Outline
1. As a mission progresses, the need to make provision for creature comforts increases.
2. The finance/admin plan should include a list of items that are likely candidates such as coffee,
doughnuts, sandwiches, etc.

3. How much and how these items are provided is a function of the mission base location. The
availability of a nearby store may obviate the need for you to arrange for many of these items

The store could be a Dunkin Donuts or a Starbucks!

Why is this under finance and not logistics where it belongs?

My thoughts exactly.  The only thing the FASC should be concerned about there is how much does this stuff cost and how do we pay the vendor.

Economy of effort? Reducing the number of "cooks stirring the stew"?

This seems to be one of those essentially small compromises needed to streamline the overall operation. How would you structure things to get the same job(s) done with the same number of bodies?

JC004,

Have you came up with a finished design?

I haven't.  Some medical and other things at the moment.

Luis R. Ramos

In spite of Winterg badge design for this ES specialty, there was another design I want to propose. This is like the "dog and airplane" ES patches.

See the following

I'm planning to finish this as soon as practical.  The screenshot I did is pretty much the limit of what I came up with.  I am recovering very, very, very slowly (medically) and there isn't really a way to get my body to work faster.

People could post proposed tasks for the SQTR to make the process go faster....

This was hilarious!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Awaiting the complete SQTR. Excellent job. Had a great laugh.

I have a lot of high-priority projects that got bumped WAY back due to hospital and long-term home care, but since I already did most of the work, all I need is some suggested additional tasks from people.  I can copy-paste the best ones in, and BOOM, it's done.

Even though this is a low-priority project, it would be very quick with suggested tasks to paste in.  Maybe just a few minutes.  The kind of thing I could do on the train, when you don't want to dive into an intense project because the ride is too short.
