Title: Emblem Change: Air Force Space Command - Familiarization Course
Post by: alamrcn on December 21, 2009, 04:07:27 PM
A emblem and patch came into use several years ago (sorry no date) for the national cadet special activity known as the "Air Force Space Command - Familiarization Course." It was designed in a national contest, along with several other NCSA program emblems at the same time.

However, the design contained the abreviation "AFSC" which was inconsistant with the Air Force's abreviation of "AFSPC". "AFSC" is an Air Froce acronym commonly associated with Specialty Codes for enlisted duty descriptions.

So just a few months ago, a new unanounced emblem was released with the minor change.

Historians may want to snap up the older variation while they are still around. Vanguard has moved to the newer variation only, while the Hock Shop still has the old one available.
