After having been given more insight into the situation, amazing thing a simple email can accomplish let alone two, I would like to applaud C/SrA Johonson's willingness to get to his first encampment the best way possible.  It should also be noted that considering his age most if not all airlines would class him as an unaccompanied minor and would need an adult escort off the aircraft which would make even travel to a bus depot pretty well impossible.

I'm not editing my original post as I feel that that is a way to own up to everything I've said in the past.

I wish him luck at his encampment and in his future with CAP.

If you continue to be disrespectfully to officers (cadet, senior member and Active Duty alike) we can and may call your squadron commander.

You know, I've been following this since yesterday, haven't seen anything disrespectful from this kid and am dissapointed to see what I've seen from some of the adults.  I saw a kid that probably wasn't super familiar with how this forum works trying to get some help and running into an unecessarily hard time from some of ya'll.  Take it easy on the guy.  I know there are some folks on here that feel the need to post on every topic whether they have something productive to add to it or not, but I really feel that criticizing someone on their grammar among other things when they just want a ride to encampment is a bit uncalled for.

Frontier Airlines runs a flight between Denver and Colorado Springs. It costs ~$150. Round trip.

Cadet Johnson...

I'm sorry you've received bad remarks here.

If I were you, this is what I'd do.  Talk to your squadron commander.  He may be able to contact some squadron commanders out in Denver to see what they can do.  They might be bringing a squadron van down or something to Encampment and you can ride with them.

If that doesn't work, contact that Encampment Commander.  He should be able to set something up for you.

Hope this helps!
