Color Guard Headgear

Can a squadron commander have color guard members were a different headgear then prescribed in 39-1 such as "chrome" helmets (provided by the squadron) at parades, ceremonies, etc.?

short answer no.  Long answer.....the squadron commander can ask the wing commander and the wing commander may authorize it.
