So I'm a video producer by trade and I was thinking I might could use it to help our new cadets.  I was thinking of making some videos on basic things that new cadets need to know that they might need repetition on like basic drill and such.  Anyone done anything like this?

Several years ago I did a video using University AFROTC advanced cadet as narrator and instructor for basic facing movements. Ended up a 10 minute edited video. Planned to do oneon drill marching movements, but CAP politics got in the way.

No reason you can't do that for your home squadron, but don't expect a warm handshake outside that
sphere due to NIH.

Also, make sure you triple-vet anything published to insure it's correct.

So I'm a video producer by trade .....

Check these out. Sure, being a Pro you could do much better, but many of the basics are already online:

Search enough and you can find something on most any topic. Many are not officially approved, hence the difficulty in finding them. You will not find them in eservices.  :(

^^^^ Many of these are 'peer' made cell phone selfie videos. But the other Cadets identify with these better than a slick Headquarters production.

I have never done anything like this myself but I do know that AFROTC Det. 88 has some really good drill and ceremonies videos that you could show to the cadets. Here is their YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn1fkTIcFy2DiPZysLmEQPw

I myself have thought about making my own videos recently and I think it would be a great opportunity to put your skills to work. Not only would they help the cadets but making videos may also improve your own abilities. I'd say to give it a try!

Thanks,
