I received orders from my Wing Commander to forward this out to our membership:

To all Wing and Region Commanders,

Effective 7 June 2015, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Col. Barry Melton, CAP as Commander of Southeast Region.

Col. Melton was the Vice Commander for Operations of Southeast Region from 2011 to the present, and for four years before that was commander of Tennessee Wing.  He is a very active officer in Southeast Region, and is a current incident commander.  He has been active with the glider program and with professional development in SER, and has consistently participated as a leader at most region activities.

Please extend a welcome to Col. Melton as the new SER Commander, and congratulations to Col. Bedgood for completing his assignment in such a distinguished manner!
