Cadets can get credit for every achievement or milestone award once every 2 months.  Through Phase I and II (the cadet junior enlisted and NCO grades), there is a promotion with every achievement and award completed, so you can potentially promote every 2 months.  Once a cadet enters Phase III (after the Mitchell Award, or the cadet officer grades), there is not a promotion with every achievement.  There will be achievements you have to complete (which still entail a CPFT, leadership and aerospace exams, moral leadership participation etc, etc.), and still have to wait 2 months from the last achievement, but once complete you don't get a promotion or ribbon for it.   Some people refer to these as "ghost achievements."  So effectively, you might have to wait 4 to 6 months between cadet officer promotions at bare minimum, assuming you're knocking out every achievement at the 2-month mark.

Take a look at the Cadet Super Chart for a better break down of these achievements and what you get for each: http://www.capmembers.com/media/cms/Super_Chart__2011_low__Copy_8371994AD16FE.pdf
The minimum time in grade required between promotions is shown along the bottom and at the top you can see which cadet officer achievements result in promotions and which do not.

Unless they are a dual enrolled cadet with a JROTC program and have been credited with two years of completion.  Then a cadet may promote at the rate of one month per achievement instead of the usual two per CAPR 52-16 Chapter 10 Paragraph A.

Actually, two years of JROTC is good for accelerated promotions up to the Mitchell Award. After that you need three years of JROTC for Phase III and four years for Phase IV.

Sir, if you do look you will see that I posted where to find the information in regards to that.  Writing two years should have read two years completion minimum for accelerated promotion.

Look at it another way, there's still 56 days between things, there's just more between grade changes on some of them.
