It is on E-services and you have to have access to the safety modules.

I thought cadets could not get a Tech. rating in Safety anyway?

Nope... Cadets can get tech, senior, and master!

The Safety Officer Track is a Senior Member professional development track.  It is not open to cadets.
Cadets are only allowed to serve as Cadet Safety Officers within their assigned units.

The only specialty tracks that cadets may participate in are ES, Comms, and IT.  In those cases they may earn
the badges, but they do not complete the rating.

They may have access to the three safety exams that seniors take for the ratings. While they may be able to take the test, they do not get any rating. That's my guess.

I've gone no higher than tech rating due to the requirement to be a MSO (which requires MSA & ICS 300/400). No way to do those locally, so I'm done.

I heard that they were trying to come up with a "badge" of some type for the cadet safety officer. I have not seen it or heard how they are doing on that.

There are plenty of things for cadets to put on their uniform. A new ribbon every 2 months. Rocketry badge. Solo wings. etc.
