In case y'all have been wondering where I was, we've been a little busy down here in MS with a missing aircraft. We are now standing down mission 07M1058 with a save. The pilot and aircraft were located around 2100Z. The pilot is alive and has been extricated and transported for medical care.
Great Job!!! Those are always great to hear. Any best practices come out of it?
We're still working on the after action stuff, will post more when able.
Thanks, and congratulations again!
Way to go!
BZ!
Bravo Zulu to you and your team, Captain. Tell them all the flat landers up here in IL say "UH RAH!"
Does anyone know what the brings the CAP National SAVE number to so far for 2007?
Again, Captain...BZ!

Great job MSWG!
I've been listening in to the radio traffic from TN when I've been flying highbird for TNCAT 07. That and the SER Commander that has been up here has been keeping us informed.
Once again, great job!
Outstanding! We get so used to the steady diet of non-distress or non-save finds that it's great to hear of a case where we really make a difference! Can't wait to hear the details.
Here is a link to the National news story. If anyone happens to catch it on broadcast TV in your local area, please try and record it for us.

National linked the video....but you have to select it from the videos offered as I couldn'd find a direct link.
Outstanding job to the air, ground and support personnel on this mission. One of the articles has a sheriff quoted as saying "the Civil Air Patrol saved that man's life." Always good to have a reminder of who we are and why we do what we do.
Chalk up another find decal for the 182 8)
