Post by: darkmatter on August 02, 2017, 03:09:11 PM
hello
i have tried to look up the answer but i cant find it. just out of curiosity is the BoG member at large wing/region commanders or are they just regular senior members who are promoted to Col and sit on the BoG?

Well, if it helps, I sat on the BoG for four years as an "ordinary senior member" in my earned grade of LtCol.  I have primarily served as a Cadet Programs guy, and have not yet commanded a wing or region.

I was the first "non commander / non- colonel" to serve on the Board, and I was extremely honored (and somewhat surprised)  by my selection by the NEC.  After I completed my service on the BoG, the CSAG was kind enough to promote me.  Another pleasant surprise.

But there is no automatic promotion for service on the BoG.
