Title: Signing applications for membership as CD
Post by: Holding Pattern on June 30, 2017, 04:31:42 PM
When I am signing a membership application as deputy commander, should I preface my name with CD so as to denote that I am signing in the absence of the commander who is out of town? I just want to make sure there isn't a kickback on paperwork when they see my name instead of the commander's name.

You're pre-supposing they check that.

I don't think it's necessary, as a CD you have authority in the CCs absence(s).

Pretty sure they'll check this time since my name and the joining member's name are the same.

The more appropriate way would be:
J. Blow, Maj, CAP
For the Commander
