Title: ES Quals from a Former Life
Post by: Matthew Congrove on May 23, 2017, 02:25:54 AM
A bit of back story. I was a cadet for a few years around 1999-2000. I quit CAP for a while, but came back as a SM not long after -- NHQ still had my records intact.

I visited my old cadet squadron a while ago and the admin officer handed me a hard-copy of my old personnel file (which was awesome). I finally got around to going through it and noticed I was signed off for GTM3; even have the old SQTR-like form.

Seeing as I wear a few ribbons from my cadet days (highest achievement, use the years for Red Service, etc), would it be appropriate to wear the basic GT badge? My understanding is that, like aviation wings, once earned you wear the badge/wings forever. GTM is not represented in my current Ops Quals, but the same goes for much of the stuff from my former cadet life -- it's all on paper.

Correct, just have the ESO or CC approve the badge in ops quals.
