Could I wear the CAP uniform at a 9/11 ceremony, even though CAP is not officially going?

Ask your commander. He needs to authorize it, regardless.
The MDWG /CC sent out an e-mail authorizing wear of the uniform for 9/11 observances.

Depends on the context of the ceremony. Personally, I would wear semi formal civilian clothing, and I'm on the job.
