Michael Yalcin, age 68, formerly of Larchmont, NY; passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from complications of COPD at his home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Michael was born on December 5, 1951 in Istanbul, Turkey to Ibrahim and Sevim Yalcin.

He came to the United States as a young man and attended the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT.

He later became a U.S. citizen and made his home in Westchester County, New York for most of his adult life.

Michael became proficient in the HVAC industry and metalworking, owning and operating several HVAC companies based in New York over his career before retiring to Myrtle Beach in early 2017.

He was also a talented artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, and metalworking. Some of his art work has been commissioned for and displayed in Macy's Herald Square and JFK international Airport. He had a lifelong passion for flying and enjoyed sharing his passion with others. He was a long time member of the U.S. Air Force Auxillary, Civil Air Patrol.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Sedat.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lucille Yalcin of Myrtle Beach, SC as well as his son Christopher of Centreville, VA; his daughter Lorraine and her husband John of Scituate, MA; his son Gary of New York, NY; and his son Michael of Yonkers, NY. He is also survived by his three grandchildren who he adored; Olivia of Centreville, VA and Bridget and Martin of Scituate, MA. Michael also leaves behind his dear nephews Erdem and Erdinc and many beloved family and friends in Turkey.

Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
