Title: Interesting Article re Drones on the Battlefield
Post by: wuzafuzz on May 31, 2017, 11:28:27 AM
Interesting article. Discussion about military UAV awareness, obstacles to their use, and comparisons between military UAVs and consumer drones in conflicts. Plodding bureaucracy vs agile development.

Fascinating.  The article reminds me of historical accounts of the Navy leadership's initial failure to accept the threat potential of torpedo and bomb carrying aircraft, and their reluctance to embrace the 'new' war fighting technology.  The vignette about using a $1,000,000 missle to take out a $100 of the shelf drone was on point.
