So back in 2013, I got myself into some trouble. I got a misdemeanor over some scrap metal which got me 2B out of CAP. I was wondering if anyone knew the possibility of me being able to come back or not. I'm simply looking for some honest answers.

Was this involving CAP property? If so, your chances might not be so good.

That said, reapply for membership, state the circumstances, and plead your case as a now upstanding citizen, and see what happens. Recommendations from current CAP folks you might know would probably help.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Others might have differing opinions.

And regardless of whether you rejoin, you should consider having your record cleared / expunged, as permitted by your state law.

In most states it is a fairly painless project.

No it wasn't over CAP property or anything like that. It was over some scrap metal and junk. I was thinking about going to the squadron on tuesday when they meet to talk to the new commander. I just wanted to get some input.

My personal advice would be to call the unit CC instead of just showing up,
despite this being 6 years ago, there are bound to be people there who would recognize you
and you may not receive a warm reception.

Also, don't play games, make sure you tell the new CC exactly what the situation was and
why you were terminated.  It will all come out anyway. At the time you had appeal options,
since you apparently didn't pursue those, that train may well have sailed.

It also sounds like there was / are a lot more details regarding the situation details
best left off the internet.
