David Brian Bellis, 64, of North Port, Florida, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was born Nov. 30, 1952, in Passaic, New Jersey. David was a veteran of both the Air Force serving in the Vietnam War, and also the Army, which is the branch he retired from after 26 years of service. After moving to North Port, David worked as a nurse at the Port Charlotte VA Clinic for almost 17 years. David spent more than 40 years serving others through his nursing career. He will be remembered as a man dedicated to taking care of America's heroes.
David's happy place was Cherokee, North Carolina, where he was seen most often with a fishing pole in his hand.
He was devoted to the love of his life, his family, and all those he called familv. David is survived by his wife, Pamela Page-Bellis of North Port; daughter; Shaunna Bellis-Nottingham (Robert) of North Port; sons, Joshua Bellis of New Jersey and Michael Bellis (Nicole) of Maryland; and grandchildren, Khalan and Isaiah.
