I just got my Mitchell award and I am looking for what all I need and how to put on all of my new insignia. I do have the service jacket as well.
Thanks for helping.

Sew on pips for your field uniform(s), including your patrol cap and possibly one on velcro if you have a fleece.

When you sew the insignia on your ABUs, you fold it square with 1/8 inch blue border. And they are sewn centered 1" from the edge of of the collar to the edge of the silver, not the blue border.

A tip that I find helpful is to crease each fold of the cloth insignia with a steam iron. Once you have the insignia set, use a piece of double-sided seam tape on the back side of the cloth and then place it and iron it in place, then sew.

It drives me mad that they haven't updated the reg to just say 1/8 border, 7/8 from edge...
