Title: Cessna 182T Fuel Dip Stick
Post by: Joe Baker on April 21, 2008, 02:42:47 AM
Does anyone know were I can get a hold of a new Cessna 182T Fuel Dipstick?

ie, the thing you stick in the top of the tank.

I was talking to a Squadron Commander and he wanted one for the aircraft.

I know we used them at the airport I worked at a while ago, but I have no idea were they got them.

I did a fair amount of googling and all I only found universal ones.

Not sure if the universal ones work well or not, but the Commander wants a model specific one.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/fuelhawkfuelgauge.php (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/fuelhawkfuelgauge.php)

The 182T has 87 gals useable fuel which is 43.5 per tank.

I'm pretty sure this is the same one as the 182Q and 182R as both models have wet wings.  The older 182s like mine have fuel bladders which reduce the useable fuel to 39 per tank.

Sporty's also has them.

IMHO this is a required flight bag item when flying one of these two-occupant porkers.
