Hey guys, are there any published stats on the percentage of female cadets achieving milestone awards? Are female cadets still at 20% of overall membership? I was going to just multiply that by the known overall numbers (15% for the Mitchell etc), but I thought I'd double check, thanks.

I don't have any "stats" for you, Shaun, but as far as our unit:
Joined 20 Jul 2014 | Active and attends every meeting (Rank: C/1st Lt)
Joined 28 Jul 2014 | Active and attends every meeting (Rank: C/CMSgt)
Joined 20 Nov 2015 | Resigned and expired end of Nov 2016 (Rank: C/Amn)
Joined 07 Feb 2016 | Still on the roster; last attended April 2016 (Rank: C/Amn)
Joined 07 Oct 2016 | Active and attends every meeting (Rank: C/Amn)
During my time in the unit since February 2015, we have had 1 girl transfer to another state (she's a C/SMSgt now) and another fall off the roster (C/Amn at the time). There was a girl who supposedly went AWOL just before I joined that was a C/SrA.
You'd have to really look at the stats of males who don't get above C/SSgt vs males who don't get above C/CMSgt, and compare those numbers to females to get a more accurate trend.
Most CAP cadets who fall off the roster, I find, do so before hitting C/SSgt. Most cadets who stay in CAP until they reach 18 don't seem to get past C/CMSgt. I think the testing thwarts quite a bit of them as well as the tougher PT standards.
Here are some local stats as well. These are "on the books" numbers, but overall we have a fairly high attendance rate month-to-month.
Female cadet ratio: 10/34 or 29.4%
Females w/ Wright vs all with Wright: 3/15 or 20%
Females w/ Mitchell vs all with Mitchell: 0/3, with one very close.
We recently graduated something resembling a Great Start class. 2/5 were females.
I'm not a statistician, but it would seem that in our unit the number of females w/ milestones roughly tracks with the overall percentage of females in the unit.

My guess is, sadly, 3% is probably high, but it's going to vary so widely by wing it'd be hard to pin a number.

Actually, 5/1000 is .005, which is 1/2 of 1 percent.

Thanks again. We have 43 cadets, 9 are female and none have their Mitchell. Most of the female cadets are new though. As PAO I'm going to do a news release soon for my daughter that's about to receive hers. Her and her brother are promoting to C/2d Lt together next month, should be a nice story.

In all seriousness, in my wing, we have 102 cadets, with 20 females.
I'll spend more time later figuring out more numbers, just of the top of my head, there is (highest milestone only)(Females only) 1 Earhart, 1 Mitchell, 4 Wright Brothers.
Years ago, Nat HQ CP posted some stats, which included information about the female cadets in CAP. Unfortunately, they have since removed that post, but I do remember that the stats for the Milestone awards were parallel with the ratio of female to male cadets all the way through the program. I wish they would check those numbers again, but I do remember reading that.
NHQ is probably the only level this could be answered with any certainty.
Part of the issue is the fairly high number of cadets in general who view Mitchell as "mini-completion" of the
CP due to their personal goal for a military enlistment, so they may not be on the books at all after the completion.

C-3PO wasn't bad at math, GL was just bad at what an asteroid belt looks like in this universe.
Considering how many TIEs were destroyed (not to mention Star Destroyers damaged) I'd assert that C-3PO's assessment of odds (for the density of the Hoth Asteroid belt) was fairly accurate. Han was just that good.

You're not going to believe this, but I found the data that they posted back in 2009. I don't know why they posted it and then removed it later, but here are the numbers from Oct 2009:
