I see that NHQ rolled out the Diversity Report and Gender Report.  Does anyone have access to the gender ratios CAP-wide? By Wing?

A complete demographic breakdown was sent out to all the wing & region commanders a couple of weeks back. To include gender breakdown.

I believe all of this information will eventually find its way into the diversity reporting.

Not in CAP...yet (though how long that will last, and what the solution will be is anyone's guess).

More importantly, unless you know who your active members are, gender and diversity are literally meaningless.

This is another cart before the horse, or just wallpaper, unless it's part of a greater plan to normalize the membership and define "active".

There's also the non-trivial issue of the fact that "who joins CAP" is largely out of the hands of most Unit CCs, especially
in regards to cadets.

CAP needs to be inclusive.  That is an actionable, workable goal that can be objectively quantified, and even tested.
Diversity will come, or it won't after that, but who comes to the front door and walks in largely out of CAP's control.

You're asking me?

We come in male and female models. We welcome both.
We welcome all ethnicities and creeds and colors.
We also welcome those who have disabilities (physical or mental), including those which impair their ability to understand that they are male or female, because disabilities are protected.
We coexist, and work together, and value what we each bring to the organization.

We obey federal law by monitoring our accessions and personnel actions to ensure that no member regardless of their status above is denied participation in federally funded programs.

And beyond that - it just does NOT MATTER. We need to move on together, cutting short any discrimination against, or partisan advocacy of, one or another race, gender, faith, or personal image, because our CAP missions are not to promote or to attack Christianity or atheism, to celebrate diversity of cultures or any race monoculture, or to celebrate or attack either hetero or homo sexuality. It has no place here.

So, tracking percentages of gender and ethnicity, I get/support. Watching like a hawk and documenting everything from selection boards, to aircraft/vehicle assignments, to scholarship patterns, in order to ensure fairness - got that too. Beyond that - done. In our uniform, with our funding streams, we have no business dipping into the culture wars. No politics in the wardroom.

Done, full stop.
