Dear NHQ,

BDUs were phased out nearly a year ago. The American flag was removed from the
BDU on 1 Jan 2017, and regardless, the 1-sheets themselves were incorrect on the day they
were published in 2011.

Not to get TOO pedantic about it,but...

The ABU, or Airman Battle (Dress) Uniform, is still considered to be a BDU, though the nomenclature has changed. Just as the OCP has been called OCP for some time, it is still referred to as the Organizational(?) Combat Pattern(?)/Army Combat Uniform in some circles.

(Awaits inevitable flame)

However, to your point, yes, it is more popularly known as the ABU and needs to be fixed.

It's not at all.

OPC = Operational Camougflage Pattern

Otherwise known as "Scorpion"

Incoming.

QuoteHowever, to your point, yes, it is more popularly known as the ABU and needs to be fixed.

What was the point of the reply, then?

The OP pointed out that the website is outdated (as much of it is in many areas across the CAP universe). Point made.

This is also a post from May. It's August. Can we not do "the thing?"

Then it needs to be locked. As mentioned in a previous post, I just came back from self-imposed exile, and I'm reading and throwing my .02 in. If the thread is old and needs to be locked then it needs to be locked.

Did you actually click the links to see that the 1-sheets, which were incorrect the day they were published,
feature the Woodland pattern & the flag?

Which was the point of the posting.

Also, FWIW, despite NHQ taking the time to add a Van Halen sponsorship to everything,
those incorrect documents are still there.

No, I did not. Won't make that mistake again. Need facts on my side, so I will shut up now and forevermore
