AF Style Service Dress Uniform

Do we wear the officer black "grade" stripes on lower sleeve of the service coat? I assume we don't since 39-1 says nothing about it. If we do, then how is it worn? 1=Lt - Capt; 2=Maj - Col; and 3 for Gen officer? Please cite source.

2d Lts - Cols wear a blue 1/2" braid 3in from the end of the sleeve, GOs wear a 1 1/2" braid in the same place.

CAPM 39-1 does mention it, see Table 2-1 on page 45, Line 1.

They aren't black, by the way, they're dark blue.
