So, I just received the AFA'S CAP Outstanding Squadron Cadet of the Year Award, and I've been hunting the CAPFs trying to find out if and how I wear the medal that comes with the ribbon. If anyone can point me in the right direction or to another thread with the same idea, I'd be happy.

Thanks!

You don't. Put it in a shadowbox or drawer.

Congratulations!

While CAP has a handful of full-size medals (a couple of cadet awards from outside organizations, the Silver and Bronze Medals of Valor, and the Distinguished Service Award), we don't wear them (except perhaps as part of the ceremony at which they are presented).

Congratulations!

I had one of those, and I was Air Force Association CAP Cadet of the Year for the state.  The medal is a little on the cheap side if it's like mine, so you wouldn't want to wear it anyway.  You get to wear the less-than-appealing ribbon, but that's all.  As mentioned, it's just for presentation purposes.
