I took ICS 300 back in Aug 2009, since then I've moved a few times and seem to have misplaced my certificate.  Anyone know of a way I can get a replacement, especially since I am looking at taking ICS 400 relatively soon-ish?

Your best bet would be to contact the agency that hosted the class. Most ICS-400 classes require ICS 300, but don't check for certificates. Usually, there's a couple year length of time between when someone takes ICS 300 and ICS 400 to lose certificates. Most will accept your word that you completed the required training.

You didn't by chance upload a copy to Eservices when you put it on your 101 card, did you? Or give a copy to your unit for your records?

I believe you can go to FEMAs EMI website and request your transcripts of all FEMA courses you have taken.

Havnt done this in awhile but a few years ago I did this so I can have one doc that showed all ICS Courses.

I would assume the 300 and 400 would appear on them as they are part of EMI.

EMI will only have record of your class if the course records were submitted to them.  I would go back to the agency or entity that conducted the class.

I thought Agencies who do training like that had to submit to FEMA EMI?  I guess will find out!

Not always.  It depends on who is issuing the certificate.

As isuhawkeye said, your completion of ICS 300 or 400 (or, in fact, most NIMS courses) is NOT forwarded to/maintained by EMI/FEMA unless the course itself was taught by EMI.

The way NIMS is structured, all of the ICS courses are taught at and certified at the state/tribal/local level, with no national clearing house to keep track of these kinds of course completions. The only things that will show up on your EMI transcript are the IS courses you've taken ONLINE and any that you've taken directly from FEMA's Emergency Management Institute.

So, your best (and, really, only) way is to contact the agency that sponsored/conducted your class and try to get a replacement. I would imagine almost every agency would maintain class completion lists, a copy of which should certainly satisfy proof of your completion of that class.

Contacted FL DEM, they didn't have record of my attendance, so I dug up some old contact info after remembering who the instructor was and got a copy from them.
