I am a member of a squadron with a member in her 90s who because she has not been able to attend our meetings has lost her current membership.  She is looking for a copy of the Book "An Honorable Place in AMerican Air Power"  Does anyone know where I can get a copy or better yet get the author to dedicate a copy for her.  She was active during the period of the book (1941 to 1943.

Many Thanks

I'd suggest calling NHQ and getting connected with Col Blazich, he's the author.

This book was published in December 2022 by Air University Press, and Col Blazich sent out an announcement how to order. You can download a free copy. CAP members are eligible to request a free copy from AU Press, altho it appears that they now have budget restrictions:

All AU Press publications are online and free to download: https://www.airuniversity.af.edu/AUPress/.

Print copies of AU Press publications are available at no cost to active duty, total force, retired military, libraries and research centers, Department of Defense personnel and DoD organizations and agencies.

Did you request a Congressional Gold Medal for your member to recognize her WWII service?

I ordered a dozen copies of the book from AU several months ago. I told them how many I needed and they sent them out right away-NO Charge for shipping.

I have a box of books (I ordered many so I could give them to cadets when they got their Mitchell), so I'm sure I can break one loose.

I can make arrangements as Col Blazich is a friend and I will even facilitate the shipping and such.

PM me with the member's rank, name, and an address where I can ship the book and we'll make it work
