Robert W. Yaeger, age 77, of Plymouth, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth, after being stricken suddenly. He was the husband of Diane (Scannell) Yaeger. Son of the late William C. and Wilda Mae (Kingsland) Yaeger, he was born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. Robert was a graduate of Northeastern University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in English. He started his career as a copy boy at The Boston Globe and retired as systems editor. He devoted much of his life to mentoring and teaching cadets at the Pilgrim Civil Air Patrol Squadron. He also facilitated an introduction to aerospace education through Cranland Fly-Ins, Wing Busters, the Aeroclub, Young Eagles and rocketry with the Summer Boys and Girls Club. He is survived by his stepmother, Barbara Yaeger of Ohio, sons, John and wife Christina of Marshfield, Robert of Califonia, brother, Thomas and wife Lois, sisters Cindy Yaeger of Ohio and Barbara Cayon of California and furry longtime buddy, Toby.
