Allwyn Samuel, 39, of Olathe, KS passed away on March 4, 2019. He was born in Ooty, State of Tamil Nadu in India on May 25, 1979. He was excited to get married to his beloved fiancé, Jenny John, this upcoming June in India.

Allwyn received his undergraduate degree in Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Pune in India and his Master's in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas in 2008. He worked at Garmin for 10 years as an Aviation Systems and Aircraft Certification Engineer. Besides work, Allwyn held the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Olathe squadron of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), was a mentor in FIRST Robotics and helped organize Kansas City competitions, and was a pilot in his spare time.

Allwyn was well loved by family and friends. He was kind, generous, and always willing to help out friends and co-workers. Also, he enjoyed dining out with friends and loved trying out new restaurants. He enjoyed traveling around the U.S., especially to see his nephew Jeremy in Ohio. Allwyn was passionate about music, especially listening to and playing the blues harmonica at BB's Lawnside BBQ where his friends in the blues community affectionately called him "Bombay Slim." Allwyn loved animals, and was especially fond of dogs. He considered his best furry friends to be Brody and Sprinkles. He would often bring them doggie treats and want to take them for walks.

Allwyn is survived by parents Jayaseelan & Pamala Samuel of Pune, India; sister, Claire Samuel of Pune, India; brother, Daniel Samuel, sister-in-law, Aparna Samuel, and his nephew, Jeremy of Dayton, Ohio; and his fiancé, Jenny John of Chennai, India. Also, survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in India.
