Title: Imaging Differences
Post by: jimmydeanno on September 18, 2007, 08:19:29 PM
So...I decided that I'd try out the mechanical turk thing for the Steve Fossett search.

I was rather disappointed in the quality of the images being provided by their new "up to date" images.

The images themselves were rather blurry and distorted/pixelated.

I have attached the same spot as viewed through Google Earth and Microsoft Live Search of the Reno, NV airport (not one of the spots I viewd with Mechanical Turk).

Why is there such a difference in the quality of the images based on which software you're using?  If you were going to get new images to find someone wouldn't you want the clearest pictures possible?

What's the deal?
