The new lunar rover astronauts will drive around the moon will be in the parade on Tuesday.

Sigh. What happened to the old days when space travel actually looked cool? We should get burt rutan to design the rover..

And hey! maybe one of our cadets today would drive that thing around on the moon someday. That'd be outstanding!!

I would certainly like to see that up close but from here it doesn't look very functional

At least the old Lunar Rovers from the Apollo program actually looked like something that belonged on the Moon!

yeah this thing has like wheel barrow tires, and may well be the front half of the wienermobile.

Saw a demo of this vehicle on NASA TV the other night. Actually it does look like a very utilitatrian and efficient vehicle. Each wheel set has an independent suspension and can turn 360*. The thing can actually drive itself sideways.

Looks like one of the lunar rovers from "2000 A Space Odyssey" I think that is really cool.
