Memo from Curt Lafond about the L2L for cadet officers (L2L Memo)

Quick points:

• Vol 3 uses same format as Vols 1 & 2
• Vol 4 follows a different format
• Should be available electronically by 31 Dec 2011
• Cadets with Mitchell prior to 1 Jan 2012 can chose old or new texts/tests
• Cadets with Mitchell after 1 Jan 2012 will only get new texts/tests
• Units should receive hard copies in Feb

Also important,

All "old" textbook tests and exams will become obsolete on 1 October 2013

So that's a little less than 2 years from now.
In other words, anyone still in the 'old' system, needs to finish their Spaatz before then,
or they are going to get hit with a system change (it would be better off for them to go ahead and switch to the new system NOW if they know they aren't, or aren't sure if they will finish before the cut off).

This happened to me, I did the entire cadet program on the 50-3,
and then sat stagnant for a while, when I went to take the Spaatz exam, the 50-3 version was no longer an option, I had to learn ALL of L2K from scratch.  On pretty short notice, as well...

This will probably only really affect maybe a handfull of cadets,
but it's a pretty big deal for that handfull.
