Also important,

So that's a little less than 2 years from now.
In other words, anyone still in the 'old' system, needs to finish their Spaatz before then,
or they are going to get hit with a system change (it would be better off for them to go ahead and switch to the new system NOW if they know they aren't, or aren't sure if they will finish before the cut off).

This happened to me, I did the entire cadet program on the 50-3,
and then sat stagnant for a while, when I went to take the Spaatz exam, the 50-3 version was no longer an option, I had to learn ALL of L2K from scratch.  On pretty short notice, as well...

This will probably only really affect maybe a handfull of cadets,
but it's a pretty big deal for that handfull.
