I didn't notice any "open" seats. And the seats with legroom were the Business Primier class seats.
You get the legroom, for a lot of money.

New Zealand has really made a big deal about the Lord of the Rings movies. They were filmed down there. Mostly on the South Island in the Christchurch area.
