Many have been clamoring about why CAP doesn't have a specification for the manufacturing of their uniform insignia. (And if there is, it apparently is guarded like the nuclear launch codes.) Attached, for your perusal, is the specification for the construction of Air Force Academy shoulder board cadet insignia, to give an example. MIL-DTL-14639 covers the specs for US military insignia.
Perhaps someone will undertake a proper spec writeup for our insignia? Ain't holding my breath.
