For anyone interested in how some of all this got it start, I found this interesting article from 2 years ago this week. This has been coming together from lots of ideas and people to get us to where we are. This article is just a small part of it. Fun to see the hard work from many people over the last several years,  all coming to fruition now.

Quote(Civil Air Patrol director of operations John Desmarais) ..... added that these systems are going to change 'how we all do business'. He said CAP members will need to rely on their aviation experience and resourcefulness to meet the mission needs of customers. "It's definitely a changing world, and these systems are part of our aviation world, so we need to embrace them," he said. "CAP's stated goal is to have an operational capability in all of our wings by 2020, but we're hopeful to get there much sooner.

Looks like his timeline 2 years ago was correct. Most Wings will be at "operational capability" here in 2019, with a few left to come online in 2020.
